Fragmented glass

This shoot was based around fragmented glass and was is another element of the interpretation of the word 'imagination'. From building the sculptured head piece I to placing it on the head, I found there were several complications.
  • Struggles with getting the hair into place, should have practiced the best way of securing that much hair
  • The concept encapsulted a more forest vibe rather than fragmented glass
  • The model was very easy to work with
  • Playing around with edits, found it difficult selecting just her from the background- hence not that many edits
I found that I had to improvise with the placement of the headpiece because I couldn't make the hair stable as I would have liked. However, it seemed to stay in place but the model managed to keep her head still enough to take the images. I found that working with a photographer meant that I could focus on the creative direction of the shoot. I was able to adjust the hair and the headpiece accordingly throughout the shoot to make sure the images came out well. I think I should have practiced the shoot first, or at least the hair so that I could find the best way of securing the hair and the headpiece. I was annoyed that the shoot looked more foresty rather than fragmented glass, but I think I made it work. I also know that the images will be down to interpretation, so it didn't matter too much about the exact inspiration for the image.
